I am a Partner at a boutique corporate advisory firm, Hall Capital, in the media/tech/ICT space, helping entrepreneurs raise capital or sell their businesses. Also, through MediaNext I am involved as an angel investor, mentor and adviser to a number of start-ups.

Previously, I was the Director of Strategy at Fairfax (corporate strategy, M&A activities, strategic planning). Before that, I was with a tech start-up in dotcom days (Peakhour), a senior marketing exec with Coca-Cola and a consultant with Booz & Co. I started off my professional life as an electronics engineer.

A few years ago I co-founded a sports social media start-up (3eep/SportsPassion). That was fun but ultimately not successful - we raised capital, employed some great people, launched internationally, won some Australian innovation and entrepreneurship awards, signed up thousands of users, but couldn't quite get enough traction by the time the GFC hit.
